Nailah’s A Mom!

Monday, August 24th, 2009

On Saturday, one of my besties gave birth to a baby girl. In their honor, I’m posting some maternity photos that I did for her at 5 months. (I know, what took me so long.) Warning: She has the smallest stomach ever. What I wouldn’t do to be as lucky as her when I have kids. She was a dancer for years (hence, the small frame) so we tried to capture a lot of that in the photos instead of the typical maternity photos. Let me know what you think!

A (Hot) Day With Fatima & David in Georgetown

Wednesday, August 19th, 2009

I spent the other day walking the mean streets of Georgetown with Fatima and David. The day was HOT. Seriously. It was at least 100 degrees outside. But nevertheless, we trekked on and were able to pull out some great photos. Did I also mention that I was (randomly) coming down with the flu that day? Anyway, here are a few from the shoot. Fatima and David are ridiculously fun to be around and I can’t wait for the wedding in October.

Do You Rock?

Wednesday, June 17th, 2009

There’s a new rock venue in DC for all you rock fans. It’s called Mirrors. The venue isn’t new, but after doing go-go music for the past 100 years or something like that (clearly an exaggeration, clearly), the venue is switching to rock. If live music at the 9:30 Club, the Black Cat or DC9 gets you going, definitely give this place a try. Not only is there great music, but the venue is pretty effin nice. Actually, there isn’t a nicer venue for rock music in DC.

For the next few weeks, there’s a battle of the bands to kick off the opening. And the winner gets a photo shoot with Sevan!

Soooo, check it out and let me know what you think.
